Method and system for monitoring and/or controlling the resource consumption of an agricultural plant

The invention relates to a method and a system for monitoring and/or controlling the resource consumption of an agricultural plant (1) for livestock husbandry or breeding, in particular of a livestock production business. The method according the invention comprises the following steps: determining agriculture-specific operation parameters of the agricultural plant in a current time interval, wherein the operating parameters comprise information on the livestock population, in particular the number of animals, and structure, in particular the number and size of the pens of the agricultural plant, and climate, in particular the temperature inside the agricultural plant, determining a resource consumption of at least one consumer (7a1, 7a2, 7a, b, c, d) of at least one resource type of the agricultural plant in the current time interval by means of at least one consumption detection unit (6, 6a1, 6a2, 6b, c, d), determining the resource consumption per one or more of the operating parameters, output of a signal comprising the resource consumption per one or more of the operating parameters.
